Ellie + Jesse: The Wedding at Sault, Daylesford

"Thinking Out Loud"
by Ed Sheeran

And darling I will be loving you 'til we're 70
And baby my heart could still fall as hard at 23
And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe just the touch of a hand
Oh me I fall in love with you every single day
And I just wanna tell you I am

So honey now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are

In Ellie and Jesse, I saw how two persons can keep falling in love again and again.  Their body language to each other is so affectionate, they would laugh with their foreheads touching each other or Jesse would put his face on Ellie's shoulder and to me that is what love is.

When asked to tell me their love story, I found it very cute when Jesse smiled at Ellie and said:" You tell it." Ellie smiled back and quickly replied :" You tell it."

Ellie and Jesse met four years ago through a mutual friend, Bec from church. At the beginning, Ellie disliked Jesse because he was cold to her, and Jesse disliked Ellie because she stole his best friend, Bec away... But thanks to Bec, Ellie and Jesse got to hang out more and know each other better. Couple of months later, Jesse realised that his friendship with Ellie is starting to get serious...

It was over a hot chocolate catch up, when Ellie finally poured out her heart to Jesse. What happened next was quite cinematically romantic: They walked back to Jesse's home under the rain sharing one umbrella (someone took Jesse's umbrella at the cafe so he is left without one. It might have been God's plan). When they got home Jesse played the piano for Ellie as she watched on. And then Jesse walked Ellie back to her car under the cold rain...Ellie couldn't help it anymore and they kissed... But she forgot that she had chewing gum in her mouth!

Ah I knew it would be a good day when it started with Ellie introduced me to the girls:" This is Wei Wei our photographer. She is amazing and very artistic!" Thank you Ellie for your compliment, it really made a huge difference :)

The day was really really fun, with the beautiful and playful bridesmaids, and I absolutely love capturing the moments when Jesse was laughing. He brings such cheerful atmosphere to people around him. The vintage engagement ring was inherited from Ellie's great grandma, and the handkerchief and garter were from Ellie's grandma's wedding.

Jesse's father started to talk about how Jesse was a chess champion at school during his speech. Everyone was laughing because his father candidly got off track on his speech a few times. Jesse's youngest brother, also the best men, started his speech like this:" I knew Jesse in 1986 February xxx, when I came home from the hospital..." That was actually the day he was born! Oh that was super funny as he tried to introduce how he got to know Jesse like everyone else's speeches.

Definitely love watching Ellie and Jesse when they danced affectionately at the party, so so much in love with each other. Some who attended a few too many weddings, Bec and Hannah, brought along their slippers and changed when they danced, how clever!

Ah that was a great wedding that I enjoyed shooting so much, thank you Ellie and Jesse!
